Scott Drackley, Artistic Director
Scott G. Drackley has been involved in the opera world for 40 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lebanon Valley College, and a Master of Music in Vocal Accompanying and Coaching from The Catholic University of America. Mr. Drackley has directed many operas, including Il barbiere di Siviglia, Le Nozze di Figaro, Falstaff, Die Zaubereflote, Gianni Schicchi, The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, and The Gondoliers. In the Music Theatre world he has directed Oklahoma, Meet Me in St. Louis, Guys and Dolls, Irene, The Pajama Game, Anything Goes, No, No Nanette, and Hello Dolly.
Mr. Drackley started Penn Square Opera to give singers at the beginning of their careers an opportunity to learn, grow, perform and make connections in the opera world. He is also dedicated to bringing this art form to the wonderful community of Lancaster, PA.
Sarah Peppe, Administrator
Sarah Peppe is a violinist and arts administrator originally from Long Island, NY. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an Arts Administration minor from Elizabethtown College in 2021. She is currently working on her Master of Science in Arts Administration through Drexel University. While at Elizabethtown, she studied violin with Stephanie Sullivan and Nana Vaughn. Throughout her collegiate years, she was a section leader and concert mistress of the Elizabethtown College-Community Orchestra. She also frequently played viola and sang in the Elizabethtown College choir. Sarah worked as Student Assistant for the Fine and Performing Arts department, recording technician for concerts, and taught violin and viola through the Preparatory Division.
Sarah is currently the Administrator for Penn Square Opera and Penn Square Music Conservatory. Along with her arts administration work, she continues to teach violin and viola through the Preparatory Division at Elizabethtown College and through Penn Square Music Conservatory and performs regularly with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra.
